Benriach The Smoky Twelve is an expression in the newly rebranded Benriach core range. The Smoky Twelve builds on the distillery's experience of using malted barley smoked with Highland peat. This wood rich Highland peat imparts distinctly sweet and smoky notes into the whisky. This expression is matured for at least 12 years in three cask types namely bourbon barrels, sherry casks, and Marsala wine casks. The result is a smooth, creamy single malt, multi layered with flavours of ripened fruit, aromatic smoky sweetness and warming oak spice.
