Glenallachie 2012 Cask #806890, 9 Year Old Peated Bourbon Barrel, Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky is part of the 6th Batch Release of the UK Exclusive Glenallachie Single Cask Series. After initial aging in a fresh ex-Bourbon cask before being re-racked into a first-fill sherry hogshead, the spirit was then transfered into an American oak cask which had previously held a heavily peated spirit distilled at GlenAllachie. The result is a deliciously smoky spirit balanced by our classic heather honeyed character. Hand numbered gift box and bottle. The outturn is 254 bottles
700ML at 60.1% alc./vol, unchilfiltered and natural colour.

APPEARANCE
Golden Sunset.
NOSE
Layers of smoked pine nuts, ginger and cigar box, followed by heather honey, soft spice and burnt brown sugar.
TASTE
Lashings of butterscotch, ginger and toasted almonds, with delicate notes of caramelised sugar, dark chocolate and black pepper.
