The Ileach, Cask Strength Peated Islay Malt, is a Single Malt Scotch Whisky from an undisclosed Islay Distillery. The Ileach (pronounced Eee-luhk) is the name for a native of Islay. This is an Independently bottled expression, that delivers lots of peat while at the same time being smooth with maturity beyond its years. Robustly peaty, with honey and that unmistakeable breath of the seashore.

A thick chunk of peat has been dissolved in my glass
The oil-peat-barley balance is spot on as is the bitter sweet tone and a honey sweetness that prevades throughout: just stunning
The peat dissipates slowly to leave a slightly bitterish oaky influence but the spices compensate.
