Laphroaig 10 year old cask strength, is another great example of this classic Islay whisky. This expression is batch #014 and was bottled in June 2021. As is implied by the name the cask strength version is bottled at a heady 58.6%. Cask strength whisky can overpower the palate, but by adding water you can open up the whisky and release some sweetness and the rich aromas of peat smoke. This expression is often described as the bottling that comes closest to the Laphroaig style of old, this is Laphroaig as it should be. A great Laphroaig worth experiencing.
70cl at 58.6% alc./vol.
