Puffing Billy Steam Vodka is unfiltered malted barley vodka, named after the rare still that plays a crucial role in its production.
The process begins with locally-grown barley being pot-stilled. The resulting spirit is then re-distilled into vodka using Puffing Billy, a specially-commissioned Carterhead Still.
Regular filtration would eliminate the delightful flavour and texture of the locally-grown barley, so instead, the spirit is steamed through charcoal within the still itself and never filtered as a liquid.
This unique approach results in a spirit brimming with character and an incredible creamy mouthfeel.
Available in a 700ml bottle, at 40% abv.
TASTING NOTES
On the nose tropical fruit and citrus, followed by foam banana on the palate. The finish is beautifully creamy and balanced.

We recommend that you enjoy Puffy Billy Vodka in an espresso martini cocktail. This recipe is as follows;
40ml Puffing Billy Steam Vodka
30ml fresh hot espresso
30ml coffee liqueur
Pour ingredients into an ice-filled shaker. Shake hard and strain into a martini glass. Garnish with a dusting of cocoa powder.
