The very first release from Islay's newest fully-fledged whisky distillery, Ardnahoe. Prolific independent bottler Hunter Laing are at the helm of this exciting new venture - a venerable name in their own right - and with enviable stocks of well-aged malts from many of Scotland's most famous distilleries to bottle in the meantime, Hunter Laing have played the long game in waiting for their inaugural malt to reach a minimum age of 5 years old before releasing it. This superb first edition of Ardnahoe was distilled from peated malt and matured in a mix of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks, bottled without chill-filtration or artificial colouring at 50% ABV, a strength with historic significance for Hunter Laing.
