This 8460 bottle batch utilised 100% peated spirit matured in 29 ex-Bourbon casks for three years. These casks were then carefully re-racked into Sauternes barriques for an additional three and a half years. Like all of their whiskies, this AD/ Sauternes Cask Release, Peated, is un-chill filtered and natural colour.
Available in 700ml bottles, at 50.0% abv
TASTING NOTES
NOSE
Lime leaf, lemon balm, shortbread, hay bales. Pineapple upside-down-cake, desiccated coconut, crème de pêche. Stem ginger syrup, pencil shavings, tobacco.
PALATE
Nutmeg, dried ginger, orange blossom water. Smoked manuka honey, lemon meringue pie, salted cashew nuts. Tajin seasoning, Creamola foam, Tizer. Hickory wood, farmy smoke, earthy depth.
FINISH
Spicy, punchy, bright. A luscious, decadent dram.
