Arran Amarone Cask Finish is a limited-edition whisky that has been finished in Amarone wine casks. Amarone is an Italian red wine made using the appassimento method, which involves partially drying out the grapes before slowly pressing and fermenting them. The signature Arran spirit is initially matured in traditional oak casks for several years before being finished in Amarone wine casks. This process results in a complex whisky with notes of cherry, Turkish delight, and chocolate. The Amarone cask also imparts a lovely red mahogany colour to the expression.
Available in 700ml bottles at 50% ABV, natural colour, and non-chill filtered.
