Daftmill is a farm distillery, owned and operated by the Cuthbert family, it only runs in the farm’s quiet periods; mid-summer and winter, sometimes producing as few as 100 casks per year.
Produced during the colder months of 2012, this Winter Batch from cult classic Daftmill, is a limited release of bottlings highlighting their single estate tradition, and rich, textural style. Twelve casks were selected in total, five first-fill sherry hogsheads, and seven first-fill bourbon barrels, culminating a total of 3,475 bottles - significantly less than previous batches, making this a sought after limited edition.
Bottled at 46% abv, the final result brings notes of barley sugar, buttery shortbread, vanilla and orchard fruits, as well as a mouth-coating balance of sweetness and spice.

TASTING NOTES
This fulsome and forward dram is a fantastic meeting of moreish Christmas cake flavours – from the cask – and the distinct barley sugar and shortbread spirit character we’ve grown to associate with Daftmill. A round, mouth-coating texture and a playful spice.
