Springbank 100º Proof 5 Year Old, is a core expression from this famous Campbeltown distillery. The 100º proof expression is matured in 100% Bourbon casks. This maturation process brings a remarkable interplay of richness, savoury depth, and the subtle Campbeltown smoke that has made Springbank a cult name among whisky lovers. At Springbank they pride themselves on producing a single malt that is made entirely in-house, employing traditional skills that have been passed down from one generation to the next. Produced since 1828, Springbank Single Malts are lightly peated and distilled 2.5 times.

TASTING NOTES
APPEARANCE
Pale gold
NOSE
A bright and vibrant start to this dram, there are notes of green apples, gorse bush, wine gums, and a mineral note.
TASTE
The palate is well balanced with a touch of peat smoke, and sweet notes of icing sugar and white chocolate. Notes of tomato plant, sunflower seeds and linseed oil develop.
FINISH
The finish brings notes of honey and gooseberries.
