Arran Amarone Cask Finish is a limited edition whisky that has been finished is Amarone wine casks. Amarone is an Italian Red made using the appassimento method of partially drying out the grapes, which are then slowly pressed, and slowly fermented. The signature Arran spirit is initially matured in traditional oak casks for a number of years before being finished in Amarone wine casks. The result is a complex whisky with hints of cherry, turkish delight and chocolate. The Amarone cask also gives this expression a lovely red mahogany colour.
700ml at 50% alc./vol. natural colour, non- chill filtered.
