This family-owned distillery began with the conversion of a steading in 2012. Aiming to support the local area, 80% of the tradesmen that worked on building the distillery came from within 25 miles of Ballindalloch. Work finished in 2014,
and filled their first ever cask in September that year.
Distilled in 2016 at Ballindalloch Distillery, this single malt was matured for nine years in bourbon and oloroso sherry casks. Each cask type imparted its own character to the malt resulting in a tropical fruity and sweet palate with passionfruit soft caramel and blackcurrants.
