The Port of Leith Distillery have invested time identifying a specific, high-quality producer in Portugal whose casks they will use to mature their whisky. However, for now, they thought their liquid should be savoured and enjoyed.
The casks have been sourced from Martha’s Family Estate, a historic estate dating back to the early 18th century. Made from a blend of Malvasia fina, Viosinho, Gouveio, and Donzelinho grapes, these casks produce a wonderful variation of fresh stone fruits combined with floral undertones.
Available in a 750ml bottle, at 19% abv.
TASTING NOTES
The palate offers bright notes of apricot, peaches, apple, almond, vanilla and zesty orange blossom that linger in the finish, making this a great Port for the summer months.
Serving Suggestions
White Port wine should be served chilled at 8-10 degrees celsius, without decanting, straight out of the bottle, in a white wine glass.
