Distillery Facts:
The distillery was founded in 1830 by Hugh and Kenneth MacAskill and built in 1831 at Carbost after a number of false starts on other sites when they acquired the lease of Talisker House from the MacLeod of MacLeod.

Talisker 10 Year Old, the signature expression of the Talisker range, embodies the character of Skye and its maritime home. It has a sea-salty nose, spicy complexity, smoky sweetness, and a signature peppery finish. Double-distilled to create a rich, deep character, it is then aged for a minimum of 10 years in American oak casks. Available in a 700ml bottle, at 45.8% abv.  Check out our other expressions of Talisker. TASTING NOTES APPEARANCE Brilliant gold NOSE Powerful peat-smoke with just a hint of the sea-water salt of fresh oysters, with a citrus sweetness. TASTE A rich dried-fruit sweetness, clouds of smoke, strong barley-malt flavours, warming and intense. Peppery at the back of the mouth. FINISH Huge, long, warming and peppery in the finish with an appetising sweetness.
