Taylor’s Chip Dry White Port is crafted from carefully selected dry white ports produced from grapes grown in the Douro Superior, the easternmost region of the Douro Valley. While several white grape varieties are used, Malvasia Fina dominates. Chip Dry is produced using the traditional port wine vinification method, with brandy added to halt fermentation and preserve some of the grapes’ natural sugar. However, in this case, the brandy is added later, after much of the sugar has converted to alcohol, resulting in a port of unusual dryness.
Each individual wine is matured separately in oak vats for between four and five years before being blended together shortly before bottling to achieve the perfect balance and character.
Available in a 750ml bottle, at 20% abv.
